Jim
Obot - CEO |
Jim
Obot is an industry veteran with more
than 25 years experience in the technology
industry. His background includes senior
roles in management, sales, and customer
support and operations at leading Silicon
Valley companies.
Most recently, Jim was the President
and COO of fusionOne, a software company
that is focused on the wireless synchronization
space and develops wireless "sync"
solutions for top telecommunications
and enterprise companies worldwide.
Prior to joining fusionOne, Jim was
President of Omnisky.
Omnisky was one of the first wireless
solution providers to deliver email
and internet content data to the handheld
device market, joining Palm.net and
Blackberry in that space.
Before joining Omnisky, Obot spent several
years at Palm Computing (3Com), as Vice
President and General Manager of Palm.net,
and as Vice President of Worldwide Operations.
In addition, he was part of the original
executive management team that developed
and grew the business unit into a market
leader.
Prior to Palm, Obot served as President,
Navigation Technologies, North America.
Navigation Technologies primarily focused
on leveraging GPS technology, for their
mapping database, found in location-based
service solutions and in onboard computers,
for both personal and commercial vehicles.
Obot also spent 14 years at Apple Computer,
Inc., where he held a number of senior
management positions, primarily responsible
for sales administration and distribution
within Apple USA.
Jim started his technology career at
National Semiconductor in sales and
customer support operations.
Jim earned his BSC in Finance from Santa
Clara University. He has also completed
Executive Management courses at both
Stanford and UC Berkeley. |

Jeff
Rubin - Strategy & Business Development |
Jeff
Rubin has more than 20 years of experience
in technology marketing and management
consulting, with a strong background
in managing growing businesses, building
and executing business strategies, improving
processes and achieving sustainable
results. He recently served as Senior
Vice President, Marketing, InnoVentry,
the largest developer, marketer, and
deployer of self-service financial kiosks
which offered automated check cashing
and processing. Jeff was a member of
a team that raised $115M and also served
as General Manager, for InnoVentry's
Entertainment Business Unit, a division
which he built and sold for a 250% return
in 18 months.
Jeff also served as Chief Marketing
Officer, Better World Services, the
only environmentally-friendly roadside
assistance and travel club in North
America. Earlier, as Vice President,
CSC/Index and a Manager for Booz Allen
Hamilton, he led or participated in
numerous management consulting programs
aimed at bringing new strategic vision
and technologies to bear on clients'
most complex issues. The work spanned
a variety of assignments including competitive
analyses, strategic direction setting,
business process development and implementation,
and technology assessments.
Previously, as Marketing Manager, Intel,
Jeff marketed a line of peripheral microcontrollers.
His responsibilities included coordination
and leadership in defining the initial
design characteristics and product positioning
of the 80486, the world's leading microprocessor
(at the time), and its associated platform
of products. He also pioneered a new
form of programmable microcontroller
which was 50% less expensive for customers,
more profitable for Intel, and captured
85% market share for this device category.
Jeff holds a BAS from the School of
Engineering and Applied Sciences and
a BS from The Wharton School, both at
the University of Pennsylvania. He also
earned an MBA from the J. L. Kellogg
School at Northwestern University. |

Tim Lavelle - Sales |
Tim
Lavelle has more than 25 years of sales,
marketing, and general management experience
with aggressive technology-based companies
including; National Semiconductor, Yamaha,
and two eBusiness startups. He has a
record of success in developing and
growing business with strategic customers,
building, training, and managing sales
organizations, and creative positioning
and branding of companies.
As Vice President, Business Development,
FastParts, Tim evaluated and selected
alliance partners and synergistic merger
opportunities, and was a key member
of the management team that successfully
raised $34.5M in financing. Previously,
as co-founder & Vice President,
Sales and Marketing, NetBuy Corporation,
he created the company's corporate identity
and built the sales and marketing infrastructure.
Tim served as National Sales and Marketing
Manager, Yamaha North America, where
he crafted separate strategic alliances
with Intel and Microsoft, and established
Yamaha integrated circuits and software
music synthesis as the de facto standard
for audio on personal computers.
He recently finished serving a two-year
assignment as Executive Director of
the RosettaNet industry standards consortium,
where he was responsible for guiding
the overall strategic direction and
standards roadmap of the semiconductor
manufacturing supply chain, demonstrating
his ability to build consensus among
senior executives of diverse global
companies for the common good.
Tim graduated from the United States
Military Academy at West Point with
a BS in Engineering. He also earned
a Master of Letters in Strategic Studies
at Aberdeen University in Scotland,
and an MBA from Thunderbird, the American
Graduate School of International Management.

Rob Weber – Product and Support Management |
Rob leads product management and product support at Beachhead Solutions. His responsibilities include product definition, partner integrations, support process definition, and product evangelism. Before coming to Beachhead Solutions, he spent over 20 years working with technology in a wide variety of roles. At Hewlett-Packard, Rob’s initial assignment was to support developers of applications for the HP NewWave environment, the pre-cursor to icon-based Windows. Many of the tenets of NewWave are still prevalent in today’s Windows operating systems. After that, he served in a variety of IT roles including that of internal customer account manager. He helped HP division managers decide what IT tools and resources were right for them and their budgets.
Rob’s career began as an application developer at Pacific Gas and Electric where he helped implement the first automated payroll submittal system called On-Site Labor Entry (OSLE). He has also spent time at startup Aristasoft in the role of project manager.
Rob holds a BS in Management Information Systems from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.

Gerald Hopkins – Corporate Affairs |
Gerald currently serves as Beachhead Solutions' Vice President of Corporate Affairs with responsibility for the company’s corporate development, business development, investor relations and human resources functions. Gerald has spent many years in the technology section: Prior to joining Beachhead Solutions, Gerald held the position of Director of Corporate Development with FusionOne, Inc., an industry leader in wireless data synchronization and porting applications. While at FusionOne, Gerald was integral in the successful negotiation and implementation of licensing and royalty agreements with many of the world’s largest wireless carriers. While at wireless data services pioneer OmniSky Gerald served as Director of Strategic Planning, where his responsibilities included organizational planning and forecasting, the evaluation, selection and management of key business partners, and contract and licensing negotiations. Gerald started his career with Apple, holding field operations positions.
Gerald holds a BA in English Literature from Gonzaga University, a Master of Public Administration degree from Golden Gate University, and a JD from University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law.
